Honestly, October felt like an entire year for me.

Today, I was wondering when It was that I wrote on my website last.

I thought it’s been months. I thought that I haven’t written there for ages.

And then I checked and it hasn’t even been a full month yet.

A recap of what happened in my life in October:

  • I reduced my physio sessions to once a month and this feels really good for me. I was doing them once to twice a week since May (excluding times I was away from Vancouver). This shows the healing my physical body has done in the past 6 months. There’s more to go, but it feels really good to be in this place. My days feel more easeful.

  • I travelled to Toronto to visit my family. By plane this time, both ways. By the way, the vaccines mandates in Canada that took away basic human rights and segregated civilians were ridiculous and unnecessary.

  • Thanksgiving is one of my favourite holidays because I get to spend it outdoors and with people I love. I missed thanksgiving. I was there, but I got sick and spent the majority of the time sleeping. I managed to make it into one family photo.

  • I had an ear infection that started on the left side, but then spread to the right. At one point I lost hearing in both ears. My mom would be speaking directly to me and I couldn’t hear a word she was saying. This was one of the scariest moments and few hours in my life. I did not know if my hearing would come back. (It has fully come back now, but it took about 3 weeks).

  • I applied for and accepted a job at a store as front staff. It’s a store I love. And if you want to shop there it’s called Obsessions. This job is not fancy and does not pay a lot but somehow it feels like it is the job for me right now.

  • I am working on a paid consulting project with a company that I cannot name. I am creating an employee handbook, as their company is growing and needs more structure now.

  • I became a part owner of some cows. I visit a farm and drink raw milk. It is so delicious and feels really great for my body and digestive system. I have had no undesirable side effects from drinking raw milk and I feel a lot more energized. I started drinking raw milk because my body was craving dairy but when I drank dairy that was sold in grocery stores my digestive system didn’t feel good and I got bumps and rashes on my skin. I don’t have bumps and rashes on my skin anymore.

  • I watched a lot of tv and rested a lot as the seasons transitioned from high temperatures and lots of sun to about 10 degrees and raining the majority of the day, within a day. It was like someone had flipped a switch.

  • I baked pasta in the oven for the first time and it turned out delicious. I would definitely do it again.

  • At the end of September I held my first few coaching sessions with clients. They were perfect and beautiful. I am making space to do more of this. If you’re interested in working 1-on-1 with me, send me a message here, letting me know that you’re interested in working with me.

That is all for now. There’s much more that happened and shifted internally that made it possible for all this to occur in one month. But I don’t have words for those things yet. I’m also not ready to share those things out loud.

If you’ve read this far, thank you for reading and giving me your attention.
